Tile offers an extraordinary range of colour, texture, scale and character. You are not limited to imitation marble, conventional subway tile or the small selection available at a local building centre. A little time spent gathering inspiration and sourcing the right material can turn tile from a practical surface into one of the defining features of a room.
A beautiful result does not require expensive tile everywhere. We often favour a balanced approach: use a simple, well-chosen field tile across the larger surfaces, then concentrate the budget where it will have the greatest visual impact. A handmade or patterned tile in a niche, behind a range or within a small feature area can give the entire installation a distinctive identity without dramatically increasing the overall material cost.
Our installations are priced to allow time for the details that make the finished work feel deliberate. We study the layout before setting begins, plan the size and position of cuts, maintain consistent grout joints, back-butter tile to achieve proper thinset coverage and use levelling systems to help control lippage. We do not simply begin with a full tile in the nearest corner because it is the fastest place to start.

Preparation
When included in the scope, preparation begins with demolition. We then inspect and prepare the substrate, addressing flatness, stability and suitable waterproofing before these critical details are concealed by tile.
Layout
We spend time finding the best layout for the tile format and pattern, resolving grout joints, focal points, transitions and the size and position of cuts before setting begins.
Installation
Tile is set to the planned layout with consistent joints. Tiles are back-buttered to achieve proper thinset coverage, and levelling clips are used to help control lippage.
Grout and cleanup
Grout, edge details and silicone movement joints are completed carefully. The finished surface is cleaned and, when included in the scope, installation waste is removed. The tiled area is left ready for use once the setting and finishing materials have cured. For your convenience, trim installation and painting are both offered as separate services.
